Persoanele cu autism din Timiș și familiile acestora pot beneficia de asistență de specialitate gratuită la Centrul prop food de consiliere prop food și asistență pentru persoane cu autism. Centrul de consiliere și asistență pentru persoane cu autism din Timiș face parte dintr-o rețea națională de 40 de centre , înființate prin proiectul Și ei trebuie să aibă o șansă! , desfășurat de Fundația Romanian Angel Appeal, în parteneriat cu Ministerul Muncii, Familiei, Protecției Sociale și Persoanelor Vârstnice, Direcția Protecția Copilului, și Asociația de Psihoterapii Cognitive și Comportamentale.

În tulburările de spectru autist (TSA), terapia este de lungă durată, iar gradul său de eficiență este crescut atunci când afecțiunea este diagnosticată timpuriu. Este esențial ca părinții să-și observe foarte bine copilul și să fie atenți la comportamentul acestuia, încă din primele luni de viață. In the project "And functional beverages they should have a chance!" Developed by Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection - Directorate for Child Protection and the Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Romania were established in country, 40 counseling and support for people with autism and their families. At this time, the Centre works 120 specialists trained in therapeutic interventions for people with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), and in advising their families.
