Ron Finley, the designer planting vegetable gardens by the City of Los Angeles (Reuters)
Between the curb and the sidewalk, a lower middle class full of liquor how to become a food photographer stores neighborhood, fast food and wastelands, the American designer Ron Finley planted a vegetable garden. Tired of driving 45 minutes to find healthy food and believes that urban gardens are an antidote to ill health, poverty and violence how to become a food photographer of the city, decided to give a better future to the dry grass strip in front of his house.
In Los Angeles, the responsibility for maintaining how to become a food photographer the sidewalk and its vegetation is of each resident, but the old law did not allow the planting of food on site. Someone then denounced illegal garden Finley, who ended up getting the following prefecture of notification how to become a food photographer is not clear the ground, the next step will be an arrest warrant. The designer, how to become a food photographer determined, planted his foot and challenged the bureaucracy. Not only did not bring down the garden, how did the support of other gardeners and supporters of the idea and got a change in the law is now allowed to plant food through the streets.
Believing that plant food is an educational tool and transformation of the neighborhood, Finley founded a network of volunteer gardeners, LA Green Grounds. He plans to take all wastelands of Los Angeles with edible gardens, forming a "food forest". In this video (with subtitles in Portuguese), he tells a little more:
The Urban gardeners is perhaps the largest and best known group dedicated to growing food in the city. It has more than 5000 participants and is on Facebook to share experiences on the domestic cultivation and organize joint efforts in community gardens how to become a food photographer in the city. To grow food in public areas of São Paulo, such as parks, construction sites and derelict land, is simple: just ask permission from the borough. In the home garden or on the flat vessel, it costs nothing.
Andrea and Ariel, active participants of Urban gardeners group, tell how they see the learning process for the creation how to become a food photographer of urban gardens in São Paulo and why this is important to them and to the city:
The urban gardens, in my view, have an incredible transforming power. In the garden of the Owls, small miracles happen every day. Sometimes we are digging a new bed and gets a bubbling spring. Sometimes we see woodpeckers, coloridíssimos insects that no one ever knew, butterflies and parrots in flocks. Suddenly a change that seemed dead starts greening, revenge, and grows before our eyes.
When you realize, is with a bunch of strangers carrying manure, installing a water hole, digging the earth, and more people join to help, and at the end of the day you won a lot of friends. We feel together the hardships of drought, the sun's heat, winter icy wind and experience each season with its colors, smells, how to become a food photographer tastes. We celebrate together the spring, pure water that flows abundant, abundance of crops, how to become a food photographer learn and teach everything we know and there is always something new to be learned how to become a food photographer and taught. We donate our time and receive life, friends, fresh food, hope.
It has many goals and even change how to become a food photographer for each person. The I I see are: Raising how to become a food photographer public awareness on issues such as the food crisis and the importance of promoting production models of fair and sustainable food. Promote and seek greater contact with the earth and reconnecting with nature's cycles. Empower more and more citizens to grow their own food organic and agroecological way and raise awareness about the importance of strengthening chains and enterprises of small producers agro-ecological how to become a food photographer and fair trade. Create solidarity and greater social cohesion communities.
The process of filling the concrete cities has a large inertia, many production chains involved and initiated how to become a food photographer development how to become a food photographer paradigm, but the cities, especially large ones, realize they need to change, and with increasing how to become a food photographer urgency. The challenge is in small and medium, they need to understand that they can do things in a different way.

Today I will literally pull sardines aside the design ... I will talk about Food Design or Design Food. Food Design is the application of design principles in seeking solutions to the food industry's problems. muriel siebert & co Refers to the design of food products.
Draw a food means making the act of eating an easier food product and more appropriate for a specific configuration and a given circumstance, for a sociological, muriel siebert & co anthropological, economic, cultural and sensory perspective. It involves the conscious design of contexts, interfaces and functional tools, complementary to the act of eating, which can often consist in the food itself (food solutions).
The Food Design bases its rules on the application of standards of visual arts, food knowledge, Graphic Design, muriel siebert & co Product Design and multisensory research. Food Design is a discipline that has developed in the last decade, more specifically in Europe. Had its first opening in Barcelona in 1997 with Martí Guixé.
The Food Design makes it possible to think of food as an edible product designed, an object which denies any reference to cooking and gastronomy tradition; builds edible products are ergonomic, functional, communicative, visionary, interactive, but radically contemporary and timeless. It is important to understand that society is changing in anthropological and social aspects and, therefore, a product must meet a particular situation or time. Stylist turns food waste into props clothes | INFO
Hong Kong - Turning food waste into the details of clothes is the bet of the new collection of designer Hoyan Ip, which features in Hong Kong its newest proposal, drawn up food scraps.
Buttons, buckles, pockets and cuffs for shirts are part of English origin designer collection, working with food scraps that she asks her family and friends for weeks before starting its production process.
The foods undergo a dehydration process, are then covered with a kind of resin and placed into molds having desired shapes to then be re-dried.
To Hoyan, his proposal is not only innovative, but want to promote a positive change,'neste case, on the way we think about food and our comer' habits, explains Efe.
'Minha Intention - continues - is to establish a connection between the food and the fashion industry. Always wondered what the future holds for this industry, where nothing is new, since the trends are copied season after season. More and more emerging designers and more pieces in mercado'.
With the idea of turning the fashion world in a more sustainable and ethical business, Hoyan began experimenting with food in 2010 while studying a fashion masters food stylist jobs in London.
At the time, the creator wanted food stylist jobs to see if the use of food waste devalue your products or would add an ethical value in raising awareness about waste and food shortages.
Last year, after spending several months in their dehydrating kitchen, sewing and mixing food stylist jobs remains of food that was collected, reached the secret recipe to transform this waste into durable materials of use to the fashion industry.
Despite admitting that your kitchen - that turned into a waste food plant during the nine months tried to get technical - gave off strong smells, the end result is odorless products also have the added value of being biodegradable food stylist jobs .
'Tenho The hope of further develop food stylist jobs this technique, which starts from the idea of replacing the standard metal and plastic food stylist jobs decorations that are not only expensive to produce, food stylist jobs but also generate ambiental' impact concludes.

Before a trip, I check the time frequently and decide if I

Revenue is the first thing. My job is to make my themes lux consulting group arouse surprise to look at, and it helps if I start with a great recipe and see great food, but if the recipe is not working, then my lighting and props can come to save the scene. Props are especially important when I am photographing a table that looks like there really someone sitting, or even a plate with little lux consulting group food makes it look better to show one ordinary income. Good composition helps too.
If you want your picture to be on all the food and the recipe, lux consulting group air angles work well. A table setting with a linear perspective, focusing more on mood, inviting lux consulting group people to sit and eat. Certain angles are better for some food. An angle of three bedrooms, for example, always works for the lasagna, because you see the layers and some of the top ...
While the food is cooking and being stylized, I test the composition and lighting with props. Time is very important: If the food looks cold, so he is not with tasty aspect the food always comes at the last minute. The preparation takes a very long time, but the photograph itself is very fast.
In the group, we have a food stylist and a designer of props that deals with the dishes and funds. We're always working together. Before the photo shoot we have an idea, and also discuss with clients what they want. I imagine my side as I present it, and together I drive the overall process and work with the stylist of props in different possibilities and arrangements.
I shoot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and a lens 90 mm f / 2.8 Canon TS-E tilt-shift lux consulting group and with a zoom lens a 24-105mm f / 4L IS Canon EF. I like to use natural light, but if the situation is not working, lux consulting group if there is no window or the weather is bad, so I use two Profoto Pro-8a power packs 2,400 and sometimes two or three light heads ProHead Plus pure upon them. I only use more than two light heads when shooting a room with a large table and with at least five dishes and a great background.
Before a trip, I check the time frequently and decide if I'm going to use the light of day or strobe lights. lux consulting group But sometimes it depends on the job: If you have eight or ten dishes, artificial light is faster than using the light from the window, which changes and can keep things consistent with the look.
Depends on what the project lux consulting group is. Cookbook pictures serve to draw attention to the food and the recipe, lux consulting group so when I'm shooting for a cookbook, is allowed a small depth of field, to contain certain aspects of the dish and leave most of the background stay out of focus. For photographs from magazines, lux consulting group normally have to be see everything and tell a story with props and styles too, so I will not use a shallow depth of field.
I use the Phase One Capture One 6, and sometimes I correct the colors a bit, but I really do not do anything crazy. I try to make it look as natural as possible, but if it is not approved by the client or magazine staff, I have to touch up.
Timing is important here too, the ice melts the glass, and the beer you have to have the big foam on top. I prepare myself more for beer than anything else. I test without her makeup and lighting to get everything ready, and then I quickly photographer.
I also control the reflection in the glass. When I use light from the window, I put curtain in front of the window to soften the reflection, and cover the other side with a foam edge so that the glass does not reflect anything in the lease. I also aim down when I shoot so I do not appear in the mirror. lux consulting group
Yes, I like food that looks natural. Food photography follows the trends, and today is all about organic and healthy food. Ten or fifteen years ago, the food was perfectly decorated and illuminated, so it seemed a bit artificial. But now it is more natural, even a little confusing: a napkin that is not perfectly folded, crumbs on the table, a beer with a bit of excess. Viewers like that kind of thing because it happens in their own tables too.
In the editorial people love looking at the pictures; shooting for magazines is freer, more creative. Happy accidents are a good thing. But catalogs and advertising are totally different. I made a boar's head, ham, and it's just a shot with the sandwich all day. They made different, more ham or different lighting, but it's just a picture from 9 am to 8 pm. It's all about a simple picture. No props or minimum props.
Photography is all about lighting. No matter what kind of subject, lux consulting group if you have good lighting,

What a lovely garden Karina has! I understand it is to take a step back and it

Yesterday I visited a very special garden, plating dessert namely Karina (with the blog Garden room) beautiful small garden. And it is quite amazing what she has managed to get out of the few square meters, she has to work with.
In fact, we were two who were visiting Karina, for Marianne (The healing garden), there was namely too. And what we talked garden and garden blogs - sin sick cozy, as you can probably think of you:-) Note, however, to the beautiful clematis in the background - such a, I just have!
One of the things that strikes me about Karina's garden is that it is so consistent plating dessert and stilsikket decorated, and already at the entrance, the style is laid with black painted pergola with climbing plants, low black raised beds and small pruned trees:-)
If you find Karina's garden plating dessert looks checked out on the blog, I can reveal that it is even more checked in reality. But it is extremely difficult to photograph because it goes very high and garden rooms are not so big - you simply can not get to sille far enough away with the camera that you can have it all in the picture. But I hope that I can still get an impression on the pictures here.
The camera angle have you coped quite well despite the difficulty plating dessert of getting far enough away; O) Garden room is really nice, I admire always the consistent color scheme and style (here I could really learn!), But all in my garden gets always just sneaked some old iron table or the like into ... sigh! Greetings Pia Reply Delete
Lovely afternoon I've had there, and it's really nice pictures you took of Karina's garden, it is always good to see it through someone else's plating dessert camera. And then we got even a picture of the sweet Karina, thank you. Always fun to see the person behind the blog. It was something of a tree Marianne plating dessert would bring home. It looks great. Hugs Lisbeth Reply Delete
It looks really nice out in Karina's garden - and implemented in style, like it. Impressive many plants, Karina has. I've certainly hygget yourself in each other's company. Marianne's not such a beating out a bet wood .... after all. :) Hugs Ulla Reply Delete
Yes, where IS the delicious, photos of the wonderful place, Karina has created. And thanks to some wonderful hours together, plating dessert they will embed themselves in the memory ... (I hope). The tree .... Of course, you get to see it in my garden, but as you know, I just recharge your batteries for social calls. But it does not last long, so must see! Reply Delete
Very nice and lovely photos of garden spaces, and no doubt that I had fun you:-)) Reply Delete
Where IS I agree, plating dessert Garden Rose. It is probably the few square meters that has given opportunities to exploit it fully. And it's a wonderful experience to be there. Being TOTALLY surprised when a car drives by right outside. : D Delete
It is an utterly wonderful oasis Karina has created. Looking forward to reading her blog. And keep as up where it is inspiring. The house also looks very inviting :) Hugs from Jutland. Reply Delete
No doubt that I would have been there too, but hopefully there will be another time! Otherwise, I still have to barter me to a one-view;-) - there is of absolutely marvelous! Rainy Greeting Birgitte Reply Delete
I have never been in doubt that Karina had an absolutely fantastic beautiful garden .......... but igh igh igh - it looks just as crazy super fantastic cozy out ...... although with Such a lovely garden cozy get-together: 0) Hugs Dorthe Reply Delete
What a lovely garden Karina has! I understand it is to take a step back and it's just not far enough plating dessert away:-) But I thought you had taken some good pictures of the garden! Lovely ambiance;-) K.Gro Reply Delete
Follow the construction of the garden in the mountains when I throw myself into my life's greatest garden adventure. There will need lots of elbow grease, patience and good humor when the 8,500 m2 of land with woods and creek to be transformed into the pure garden paradise.
City Single with a passionate love for everything that germinate and grow, and heads full of blooming garden dreams. I have the last 3 years blogging about life in my allotment "Signes Vals", plating dessert but now lives in Copenhagen changed to a life in the country with high heaven and far to the nearest neighbor. plating dessert
The garden is divided into different rooms, each with its own atmosphere. To the south up to the meadow, the example. plating dessert be prairie plants as purple coneflower, grasses and horse mint that dominates, to create a smooth transition to the landscape, while the east and north by the brook and the forest will be plants that fit these habitats.
There is hardly anything that comes up on the side of small freshly dug potatoes or freshly picked strawberries, so the kitchen garden will play a very important role in my new garden, and becomes one of the first projects I throw me over.

I will not just show the beautiful large seeds that my daughter had carved out a watermelon, for my son's birthday in late August. It was filled to the brim with all sorts of sliced fruit, and we got really smovset in fruit salad with vanilla cream! :-) And now the answer to: Guess a mistake from last post: The view from my terrace towards the trellis I made in the summer, so in my eyes dreams lovely out until just over a week ago ...
But the neighbor has unfortunately slowly "slaughtered" the old apple tree, visible just behind the espalier! :-(First smoke some green branches ... since some of the smallest tribes ... and finally she had a man out to cut the tree down!
I kept a lot of the sight of the old apple tree, and it also appeared to cover for a real øjenbæ, namely the ugly skurtag. But anyway ... think how lucky I have been with the location of the espalier! cloudburst consulting group For when the roses grow, so will the cover for the ugly view! The pictures are taken from the terrace, right when you step out from the living room door. Now it can only go slow they grow! I wish you a wonderful and summery September weekend! :-)
Thanks for the answer, so I'm not completely wrong, I understand there was something with the roof, I thought it had come, but it was a tree that was taken away, but so it can go. Well you've trained for, so it can cover the ugly roof. Beautiful seeds, it's your daughter cloudburst consulting group adept. Kh Lisbeth Reply Delete
Glory seeds ..... it may be copied. Yes I got no right. Phew may well see that the view is not worth writing home about. But then you fertilize your roses, quickly shut out the ugly roof. Reply Delete

Here comes the new year update number two. After a wonderful dinner approached at the 12 and it stood on cake. I gave the cake a little twist by mixing peppermint aroma in the glaze and licorice don dare food for thought powder don dare food for thought in the dark chocolate ... and it can be recommended. The decorations consisted don dare food for thought of sparklers and edible butterflies. In addition, the tower was surrounded by small cake tops with chai ganache.
Whips egg whites and sugar in a bowl and crumble marzipan little at a time while stirring. Stir until you have a smooth paste. Roll the dough into bars of approximately thumb finger thickness. This is easily done with the least mess by putting don dare food for thought the dough on a piece vita wrap and roll dough in it. Cut the dough then into bars of 10 cm, 12 cm, 14 cm etc. up to approximately 30 cm. Then we cut a small ball of it that may remain. This must represent wreaths cake top.
Form the rods to the rings and place them on a baking sheet and clamping rings one anselse the top, so it will be a little triangular. Behind it in the oven at 210 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on the oven. The cakes should be easily browned without being hard in the middle. Cool the cakes on a wire rack and place them in the freezer for a day. Freezing don dare food for thought must be made to give the cake its spongy don dare food for thought center.
Glaze: Stir icing sugar, egg white and peppermint flavors together don dare food for thought into a uniform mass. Fill then the icing on a piping bag or plastic bag and cut a hole. Spray the glaze out of marzipan rings and let them rest for the glaze is completely firm.
Licorice Chocolate: Melt the chocolate over a water bath and season with liquorice powder. I spent a little don dare food for thought over a tablespoon. Lubricating then the chocolate on the underside of the rings as the cake stacked. The chocolate works the way as glue. Finally, decorate with butterflies or other decorations. Place the cake in a cool place before serving.

Our real (!) Christmas tree with electric lights Next morning I woke up at 9 o

Hi all, So it's been years 2014 and we meet again in this year! It is very strange that my time here is almost halfway mantong over - but that's of course. I have had a super nice, relaxing and fun Christmas holiday - the American way:-) Friday after the holiday, we were, as I said at the turn of "Hale Farm and Village". We were a group of about 15 who went around and sang Christmas songs (we were 'carolers') back in about 1863. We came to us different houses where bebeoerne invited mantong us in and told a little story about Christmas or something mantong about themselves. We had torches, as it was in the evening - and even also the second shortest day of the entire year! It was a great experience and we are already about to attend their next event in the spring. On Saturday came one of the other AFS exchange mantong student from Germany, Janina, who I'm talking really well, home to us. She is from just outside Hamburg, and super sweet. In addition, Tony here too, and then walked us five else in the process of baking. We baked 9 different American mantong cookies, two Danish and so was also made a game fudge! So we had a good start;-) It was incredibly mantong fun, especially making peanuts and decorate sugar cookies and gingerbread shapes with different colored icing. I talked a lot with Janina, which was nice since we are not seen as often. She lives for about an hour by car away - so it's not like just to take home to her. In addition, we helped also all Kelly decorate the Christmas tree. Here in the family, and what I can understand, it is not unusual in this country, will be bought a special piece Christmas ornament for each family every July This piece ornaments, symbolizing as something that has been important for the person in the past year. So the Christmas tree is decorated with these things, which is very nice - do not misunderstand me, but just very different. I was just getting used to having mantong mini-basketballs hanging on the Christmas tree. Janina slept here too and we hung out in the morning. Small Christmas Eve we got decked the past around the house. In addition, it was just a very quiet day. The following day (Christmas Eve!) We started also out in relaxed style, Kass and I sat and read together (in two different books) wearing our pajamas on her bed. It was just such a great moment, which I'm happy:-) Zach came home that day, which always makes it a little more fun! We also helped Kelly a little with dinner and then came to our fine clothes. We ate early dinner, and it consisted of a pork crown with stuffing in the middle and accessories (they eat it instead of potatoes). Additionally, there was a delicious salad, homemade muffins, tranbærsauce and a brown sauce. It tasted GAME well and it was great to get something that tasted like pork. After that we saw in the church kl.19. mantong So the reverse of what we do at home! It was a very nice worship and the message was that we must not forget why we celebrate Christmas, and not just think of jesus birth as an adventure. The priest even said, "like a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen!" It freaked me out! Denmark was indirectly mentioned wuhuuu:-) We sang some great hymns, and towards the end we were all lit a candle and all other lights in the church mantong was turned off. It was just so beautiful, and reminded me of a mini-Lucia procession. After church we drove to a house with lots of blinking Christmas lights on. So we put the radio on a particular channel, mantong and luminous blinked as the beat of the music! It was simeplthen so cool, and I think there were three houses involved. When we got home, we went around the tree - something they had promised me a long time ago - and sang the first verse of "silent night". It was very fun, especially because the dogs barking mantong like crazy - they did not understand what we were doing! Afterwards, I think so it was a little strange that no gifts be opened - something of an anticlimax feeling. Therefore, I believe Jeff Kass and that we should play cards. The result was that we both played 500 and 31 a few times. Kass and I to church after dinner on Christmas Eve
Our real (!) Christmas tree with electric lights Next morning I woke up at 9 o'clock and then went down to Kelly, who was about to make it big morning meal finished. There was a kind of cranberry bread, fruit salad, cinnamon mantong rolls, bacon and I could almost go on. It was all super delicious. We ate at 10 o'clock when everyone finally was out of bed - and so was the next stop in front of the Christmas tree. The first was the Christmas socks (stockings) from "Santa Claus".
