DBI (Doing Business In) is a concept that has been running since 2006 with great success. smart consulting group This year we went to India, and the 30 students selected three organizers and four company representatives met before heading to two "pre-seminars" where there were expectations aligned and given an introduction to India and the two sponsor companies, Novozymes and the Boston Consulting Group ( BCG).
The first pre-seminar took place on a Friday in Novozymes' headquarters in Bagsvaerd. Here we got an introduction of why DJØF choose to support the tour and an introduction to India and Novozymes. We were allowed to solve some problems in groups with the presentation and got a tour of Novozymes offices, including their research and development department. On this trip, we learned how Novozymes find microorganisms in nature and work on their enzymes in the laboratory for later creating enzymes that can be used for everything from food and beer to laundry detergent.
After a long and informative day at Novozymes we got the opportunity to learn to know each other over a burger and beer inside smart consulting group Copenhagen. However, it was not much more than that, then we would meet early the next morning at BCG.
Pre-seminar at BCG offered an introduction to the company, smart consulting group followed by presentations. The first presentation was about the case solution, smart consulting group which we subsequently were even allowed to try and present smart consulting group in groups. The day also included a presentation on how to build a story and present it, and we even got the chance to try next. The event ended with tips on how to solve a case and subsequent snacks and beer in their Friday.
After another exciting day we went to an Indian restaurant and became acquainted with the cuisine, we would later be allowed to become extremely familiar (and slightly tired of ..) on the trip. After the Indian restaurant was the possibility of more socializing late into the night with old DBI participants. A few weeks after we met again to take off on a two week trip to India.
Before I start my story about the trip itself, it must be said that there are too many experiences and impressions that I can tell about it all here. If this article arouses interest, I strongly recommend the reader to search next year's trip when you come home with a lot of knowledge, smart consulting group experiences, impressions and new friendships in the luggage.
The first week in India took place in Bangalore - India's Silicon Valley - and offered a good combination of academic smart consulting group and social events. In addition to a number of company visits we also saw an early yoga-time acquaintance of the local nightlife and spent two days in Novozymes' sign. The Indian nightlife was signed by the time when it was most clearly how welcoming the Indian befolkinng is. The critical reader will of course say that there is a big difference between the profits of the rich and the poor residents, and it is therefore important to point out that we saw the same kind and accommodating treatment in poor slums - more on that later.
The two days that stood in Novozymes' characters featured two very different experiences. The first day we got an introduction to Novozymes' smart consulting group various departments and their activities in India. A highlight was the tour where we among other things, saw their mini-kitchen, where they test the enzymes produced smart consulting group by baking bread or pasta. The whole process, from the identification of enzymes of further development of the enzyme to the application of the enzyme takes place internally smart consulting group at Novozymes to ensure that the enzyme smart consulting group now have the desired smart consulting group effects before being sent out to customers.
After the visit at Novozymes we were invited to a local microbrewery, which Novozymes had arranged a night at the Marriott hotel. Here we were in addition to local food also experienced the local culture. We were so pleased by a team of Bollywood dancers who were kind enough to teach us some dance moves, which were then replicated with more or less enthusiasm and success. All in all it was a really smart consulting group enjoyable evening, but left a somewhat dizzy day.
Fortunately, Novozymes had arranged a sightseeing tour the next morning, so you could have a headache with a clear conscience. The trip included a visit to the oldest local market. Here we were quickly made aware that we were in India during the religious spring festival Holi. Holi is a festival where Hindus (and children of all religions, I suspect) throws powder colors on each other to celebrate spring - which we saw at close quarters the rest of the day. After the market we visited the local "thieves market" where automobile smart consulting group parts that may have belonged to others before being sold in different stalls. Then we visited a local basilica and a laundry village, located in the middle of the city. Here, most of the city's clothes washed, including most hotels. This is done by h
