Many migrant youth, especially young men, have a hard time finding a foothold in education and jobs. Therefore reached KL, LO and DA in 2010 with the government a four-party agreement with the aim to get more immigrant youth motivated to education plate twists and active participation in society. Here they can sniff the life and work of a business and build a better understanding of their own abilities and capabilities and the demands of the labor market. The companies operate certain employees as mentors and role models for the young participants in the way of helping them to get a better grip on their opportunities for education and career. The project is implemented across the country as locally based collaborations between local businesses and youth actors.
Methodical and practical limitations Greve municipality since 2011, along with six other municipalities participated in the project 4U and among other things, the local youth center, UUV Køge Bay, sent several young people in training at local businesses with great success. Nevertheless, the project work also led to a number of considerations about the very thing to work methodically and practically within established frameworks in a project.
